Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits are tools used by electronic engineers and designers to evaluate and demonstrate microcontrollers, digital signal processors, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and other Integrated Circuits (ICs). The LMV112SDEVAL is a low-cost, multi-species, evaluation kit developed by Texas Instruments to evaluate the features and performance of its LMV112S series of voltage-level translation devices. It is a compact and convenient tool that reduces the time spent on learning, prototyping and debugging.

The LMV112SDEVAL consists of two printed circuit boards (PCB) – an evaluation board and an application board. The evaluation board has pre-programmed devices, connectors and circuitry for connecting with the application board. The purpose of the evaluation board is to provide the user with a platform to test basic functionality of the LMV112S series devices. The application board is also referred to as the “development board” and contains a set of circuits that permit users to evaluate the performance of the LMV112S device with their own design. The board is equipped with a socket to connect an off-the-shelf MCU to the evaluation board via an I2C interface.

The LMV112SDEVAL works in the following manner. The user first configures the factors of the device on the evaluation board, then connects the evaluation board to the application board. After performing the desired tests, the device can be integrated into a system and operated on the selected parameters.

It also includes a number of user manuals, such as a user guide, a user\'s manual on I2C interface, a user\'s manual on programming the MCU and a user\'s manual on the development system. Additionally, the kit includes TI\'s Code Composer Studio software to enable users to develop application code and test the performance of the device.
