Working Principle
The LMV932MA bipolar op amp is based on a conventional three-stage topology structure and consists of one single-ended input stage, one differential amplifier stage and one output stage. Single-ended input stage is a source- follower configuration consisting of transistor M2, M4 and M6. The bias current flowing through the transistors M1 and M3 is tailored to match the total bias current of the other two stages. The differential amplifier stage consists of two emitter-follower transistors, M10 and M11, in a class A configuration and a common-emitter transistor, M9, providing additional gain and output current. The output stage is the single-ended emitter-follower stage with the emitter follower transistor, M12. This emitter-follower stage provides additional current drive and also helps to maintain stability. The input and output stages of the LMV932MA have rail-to-rail capability, allowing the device to accommodate a wide input/output range.
The LMV932MA combines low input bias current and low input offset current to provide a wide range of bias-free operation.
