LMX5251SQX/NOPB

The LMX5251SQX/NOPB is a high performance, integrated single-chip radio frequency (RF) transceiver IC designed for the operation in multiple-standard systems in CAT-M1, NB-IoT and GSM/GPRS applications. This highly integrated IC consists of a low-noise amplifier, RF front-end, IF filter, LO synthesizer, mixers, digital IF processor and conventional digital baseband functions. It is suitable for a wide range of applications including cellular, industrial, consumer and portable electronic systems. The LMX5251SQX/NOPB is a low-power, low-voltage, CMOS device that requires minimal external components for operation.

The LMX5251SQX/NOPB is designed to provide an integrated solution for a wide range of CAT-M1, NB-IoT and GSM/GPRS applications. It is an ideal solution for applications operating in the 200–500 MHz frequency band, supporting up to 65 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth. The device is capable of operating at a supply voltage ranging from 1.8 to 3.3 V. The LMX5251SQX/NOPB consumes only 83 mA in receive mode and up to 350 mA in transmit mode.

The working principle of this IC is based on the integrated RF transceiver concept. It is based on a low-noise amplifier, RF front-end, IF filter, LO synthesizer, mixer, digital IF processor and conventional digital baseband functions. The low noise amplifier amplifies the incoming RF signal before it is sent to the RF front-end and IF filter. The mixer creates an intermediate frequency (IF) signal, which is sent to the IF processor that filters and digitizes it. The digital baseband portion handles the signal processing and encoding/decoding for data transmission. Finally, the LO synthesizer creates a local oscillator signal for the up/down conversion of the RF signal.
