The LP2985A-10DBVR Voltage Regulator is a three-terminal linear integrated circuit that provides a fixed 5.0V DC output voltage. It is designed to provide impeccable regulation accuracy, transient response and low dropout voltage. This linear regulator is already in popular use in a variety of robust and reliable applications that require linear voltage regulation. The LP2985A-10DBVR has an additional voltage source selection pin that can be used to select either its input or another external supply source (Valtage Sense) to be used as the voltage reference. It also has two Power Good pins for setting trip conditions in case of a setting change, or for low power mode. The LP2985A-10DBVR has a 7-bit Digital Voltage Identification (DVID) that can be adjusted using an external EEPROM or DAC. This feature increases the accuracy of the regulator output voltage and reduces the design complexity of the circuit.

The LP2985A-10DBVR offers a wide adjustable output (4.80V to 5.20V) and extremely low dropout voltage (only 0.25V enable this regulator to provide substantially improved load regulation and transient performance even when regulating in low dropout conditions. The LP2985A-10DBVR can be regulated down to 1V. Another great feature of this regulator is its ability to quickly respond to large load transient while maintain its low dropout voltage.
