LP2996LQ/NOPB is an ultra-low, high performance power management circuit, specially designed for the most stringent of modern power supply, integrated signal processor and other power management applications. It features an integrated, low-power voltage reference circuit, a BiCMOS, high-efficiency buck converter, a precision latch, and an integrated signal processor.
The LP2996LQ/NOPB supports wide input and input line ranges, allowing the LP2996LQ/NOPB to regulate 1.8V up to 36V inputs. This allows for use in flexible and varied power applications, including automotive power, industrial and commercial power, telecommunications, and consumer electronics. The LP2996LQ/NOPB also offers a wide range of power output current (from 1mA up to 7.5A) and low quiescent current operation, allowing the LP2996LQ/NOPB to meet the needs of a variety of applications.
The LP2996LQ/NOPB features an integrated voltage reference circuit that provides a reliable, low-noise and low-temperature drift voltage source, enabling the LP2996LQ/NOPB to provide high-accuracy outputs. The LP2996LQ/NOPB also features an advanced BiCMOS buck converter with low quiescent current, high efficiency, fast transient response and high maximum efficiency.
The LP2996LQ/NOPB is also capable of operating in a variety of applications. It provides flexible clock frequencies, synchronization, and immediate-mode operation. The LP2996LQ/NOPB also provides a programmable standby mode, allowing the LP2996LQ/NOPB to remain on while in a quiescent state in order to reduce power consumption.
The LP2996LQ/NOPB also features an on-chip signal processor with a number of dedicated processors, allowing the LP2996LQ/NOPB to support a wide range of applications. The signal processor permits basic configuration settings (such as control loop settings for load line regulation, load sense regulation and load voltage regulation) as well as various specialized control settings (such as software control of output voltages, forced-run control of switching frequency, burst mode operations, and pulse-width modulation (PWM) control).
In addition, the LP2996LQ/NOPB is designed to support a wide range of applications and power supplies in which power supply design is critical. The LP2996LQ/NOPB’s integrated voltage reference circuit provides reliable, low-noise, low-temperature drift voltage sources. This, combined with its low quiescent current operation, high efficiency, high maximum efficiency and fast transient response capabilities make it well suited for applications requiring efficient, reliable and high-accuracy power supplies.
