LPV321DCKR is a general-purpose and low-power voltage comparator designed for single-supply operation. With a quiescent current of only 10 microamps per channel and approximately 5mV offset, it is usually employed in a variety of applications ranging from analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, to body biasing low-power circuits as well as optical communication transmitters and data acquisition systems.

The LPV321DCKR input stage consists of a P-channel MOSFET and an N-channel MOSFET, both of which are connected between the positive and negative power supplies. The source of the P-channel MOSFET is connected to the output while the drain of the N-channel MOSFET is connected to ground. This arrangement provides the current source with a high degree of noise immunity while keeping the supply current to a minimum. The output stage is made up of P-N-P transistors, with the emitter of the PNP transistor connected to the output and the collector of the transistor providing the positive feedback. This ensures that the output follows the differences between the inputs.
