LPY410ALTR contains two vibrating structures: the sense element which picks up angular velocity and the reference element which is used to sense the vibration. The two elements together provide a stable and accurate detection of angular velocity. The vibration of each structure is detected by ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) respectively. The signal from the ASIC is then processed by the signal conditioning circuit to obtain the angular velocity output.

The LPY410ALTR also has an onboard temperature sensor that compensates for any temperature variations for more accurate measurements. It also has a built-in temperature compensation (TCS) circuit that stabilizes the bias drift caused by temperature, which results in a stable gyro performance and increased accuracy.
