LQA20N150C diodes are key components within rectifier arrays. Rectifier arrays are used in high voltage, large current rectification applications, where the diodes act as clamps for the energy flowing within the circuit. LQA20N150C rectifier arrays are capable of operating in extreme temperature and voltage ranges, making them ideal for harsh operating environments.
LQA20N150C rectifier arrays feature a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 600 volts, a peak forward current rating of 20 amps, and an operating temperature range of -45 to +150 °C. The maximum non-repetitive surge current is 55 amps and its maximum forward voltage drop is 1.50 volts. Its overall size is only 47.8 x 18.2 x 14.2 mm.
The LQA20N150C rectifier array operates by rectifying the AC signals coming from the power source. It uses the transport properties of electrons and holes in the p-n junction to convert the AC signal into a DC signal. When current flows from the anode to the cathode, the diode is forward biased and conducts current. When the current tries to flow from the cathode to the anode, the diode is reversed biased and does not conduct current. The current is carried by the rectifier array, which acts as a switch, either condensing (forward biasing) the current or blocking (reverse biasing) the current, depending on the polarity of the signal.
The LQA20N150C rectifier array thus provides a high-efficiency, space-saving solution for high voltage, large current rectification applications. The wide operating temperature range and the low thermal resistance of the diode makes it ideal for high-temperature operation. The wide forward current and reverse voltage ratings make it suitable for high-power applications. Its size and cost-effectiveness make it a fitting choice for high-performance, space-constrained, cost-sensitive applications like industrial motor drives, UPS systems, and high-efficiency lighting. Use in automotive and other transportation-based applications is also possible.
