The contact block consists of a sliding contact which closes the contacts when the actuator is pressed. The switch uses gold-plated contact blocks to provide superior resistance to corrosion and temperature changes while the silver alloy allows for reliable electrical continuity. The contacts are SPDT type and are constructed with a reinforcement structure which reduces light oscillations and mechanical vibrations.

The plastic actuator is designed with a recessed level in the center to prevent accidental contact with the switch. This offers added safety and protection when handling the device. The recessed level also act as a detent which causes the switch to snap on or off when it is pressed.
