Its few external components saves board space, and improved transient performance reduces noise and simplifies the circuit design. The LT1085CM-3.6#PBF provides excellent line and load regulation, regulation accuracy is ± 2% over line and load, and ± 0.7V over temperature.The device is able to withstand 15V input-to-output differential voltage and includes a power good flag to warn of a low output voltage. Operating up to 90C with up to 95C junction temperature, the LT1085CM-3.6#PBF offers an extended temperature range compared to similar offerings in other product categories.Working Principle
The LT1085CM-3.6#PBF is a linear voltage regulator. The input voltage is applied to the input pins of the regulator, where it is regulated down to a lower output voltage. The regulator uses a voltage reference, usually a Zener diode, to set the output voltage. The output current is limited to a safe value by the current sensing circuit.
