Introduction
The LT1086CM#PBF is a low noise, low dropout, low quiescent current monolithic linear regulator from Linear Technology. It is a three-terminal series regulator that employs a PMOS pass transitor. This PMIC-Voltage Regulator-Linear is capable of providing an output current up to 2A with an output voltage of 0.1V to 38V. It has an adjustable current-limit feature that allows it to automatically protect the receiver circuit when the output current exceeds the set current-limit value.Specifications

Working Principle
The LT1086CM#PBF uses a PMOS pass transistor to regulate the output voltage. The input voltage is regulated by the pass transistor and output voltage is compared to an internal reference voltage.
