Working Principle

The LT1124CN8#PBF consists of an amplifier stage followed by an input stage. The amplifier stage consists of an input differential pair, an output stage, a current source and a reset current source. The input stage provides impedance matching, common-mode rejection, input offset voltage compensation, noise canceling and bias current cancellation. The input stage also provides high slew rates and a wide common-mode voltage range. The output stage is a class A amplifier with feedback topology and provides a low output impedance and a low distortion. The current source provides constant current for the output stage and provides linear output current and slew rate. The reset current source reduces the linear output current and decreases the complexity by reducing the gain. The output of the amplifier stage is a voltage low-pass filter. Wide frequency response of this filter allows the amplifier to operate at higher frequencies. A feedback loop stabilizes the amplifier and prevents oscillations. The feedback voltage relaxes the gain and reduces the output stage non-linearity.
