Working Principle
LT1175IT-5#PBF takes the output voltage as the reference, connects to a controllable current source, and applies a current proportional to the total input voltage. When the output voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the chip’s current source will increase to offer greater output voltage, and vice versa.The internal circuit of the chip is designed in a certain way, like a loop. The main parameters of this loop are voltage and the current, the voltage is provided by the reference and the current is the product of the error amplifier. The whole loop is a typical Feedback System.The input voltage, the reference voltage, and the amplifier output are compared in an error amplifier ,and when the two inputs are equal, the amplifier will output a representation of “0”. When the input voltage is greater than the reference voltage, the error amplifier will output a larger gain, which causes the current source be increased and the output voltage be regulated to the same level as the reference had.When the input voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the opposite action will occur, the error amplifier will output a smaller gain and the output voltage is then adjusted accordingly.
