The LT1236BIS8-5#TRPBF can be used as the reference voltage for adjustable voltage regulators, switching regulators, instrumentation and automotive electronics, and as a reference for reference-controlled current-source circuits.Functions and Features
The LT1236BIS8-5#TRPBF has a low bandgap voltage reference, with an initial accuracy of ±0.02% and a long-term stability of 0.05% per 1000 hours. This high level of performance and accuracy allows for precise adjustment of the reference voltage over a wide range of temperatures. The LT1236BIS8-5#TRPBF operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is provided in an 8-lead small outline package, with thermal-overload protection, reverse supply protection and voltage limiting. The device also features low drift and an improved temperature coefficient, with a very low power consumption of 10mW.The LT1236BIS8-5#TRPBF also features an internal trimming system that allows for precise calibration of the reference voltage. This trimming can be done using a precision voltage source and a suitable current meter. The reference voltage can be adjusted with an accuracy of ±8ppm/°C (at 20°C).Working Principle
The LT1236BIS8-5#TRPBF operates on the principle of self-alignment. The two active terminals of the device are tied together, and the voltage between them is adjusted by a pair of trimming resistors.
