PMIC - Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators have been widely used in all areas of the industry. The LT1376HVIS is a high-performance synchronous step-down switching regulator, which is suitable for low to medium current, wide input voltage range applications. It offers excellent efficiency and accuracy, high-performance and flexible switching back-end solutions.
The LT1376HVIS is a high-performance, low-side synchronous rectified PWM regulator with an internal high side MOSFET. It is capable of supplying up to 500mA output current over an input voltage range of 3 to 40V and can operate in pulse-skip mode or forced continuous conduction mode. The LT1376HVIS is designed to provide up to 90% efficiency in wide load and input voltage range. It also features low output-voltage ripple, fast transient response and an internal Pulse-By-Pulse current limit.
The LT1376HVIS features a wide range of features and protection features. It has a fast over voltage response time and an adjustable soft start time to keep the output voltage within the specified voltage tolerance range. It also has over-current protection, thermal shutoff and short-circuit protection. The LT1376HVIS also provides external under-voltage lock-out and margin control.

The working principle of the LT1376HVIS is based on the operation of a standard synchronous rectified buck switching regulator.
