Working Principle

LT3010MPMS8E#TRPBF has four main operating stages. When the power is first applied, the power fail comparator (PFC) is enabled and checks if the system is being supplied with adequate power-supply voltage. If the PFC indicates sufficient power supply control, the power good (PG) output is activated and the system proceeds to the second stage. In this stage, the microprocessor (μP) monitors the power supply voltage and compares it to a reference voltage. If the monitored value is too low, the reset output is activated. In the third stage, the voltage monitoring circuit is disabled and the μP checks if the system is reset or not. This state is maintained until a reset occurs and the system is returned to the first stage. Finally, the wakeup input is checked and if enabled, the μP will restart the system.
