The LT3080IDD#PBF is a low noise and low power linear voltage regulator that provides accurate regulation in a tiny form factor. The LT3080IDD#PBF features a low dropout (LDO) architecture and programmable current limit, allowing it to accurately regulate DC input voltage to either a fixed or adjustable output. The adjustable, low-noise output can be set as low as 0 V or as high as 5 V with a 200 mV typical dropout voltage. It supports load currents of up to 2 A, making it ideal for powering medium-to-large loads in a variety of applications. The low-power operation mode (LP) and standby current (<10 uA) help conserve battery life.
The LT3080IDD#PBF is rated over an extended operating temperature range of -40 to 135°C, making it suitable for extreme temperature environments. The LT3080IDD#PBF is a type of voltage regulator that uses linear techniques to regulate the output voltage. The reverse happens when the output voltage drops below the setpoint, the integrated N-channel MOSFET transistor is activated, which causes the output voltage to rise back to the setpoint.
