The LT3782IFE#TRPBF is a high-performance dual-output power switch controller designed specifically to drive step-down DC-DC converters. The LT3782IFE#TRPBF features independent feedback control, allowing operation of two outputs at different voltages. With a peak current-mode architecture, the LT3782IFE#TRPBF offers good line and load regulation, high efficiency, and excellent output dynamic response. PWM dimming can also be implemented using the LT3782IFE#TRPBF’s integrated PWM dimming control.
The LT3782IFE#TRPBF is suitable for a wide range of applications, including but not limited to power converters and isolated voltage regulators. It offers an adjustable output voltage range up to a maximum of 32V, programmable soft-start, short-circuit protection, and a very low shutdown current. The wide input voltage range of 4V to 40V makes it ideal for battery-powered devices. The LT3782IFE#TRPBF also includes essential features such as over-voltage protection, thermal shutdown, and output over-current protection. These controllers are also AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
The LT3782IFE#TRPBF is compatible with leading power switch vendors, such as TI\'s LM2641, LM2642 and other advanced devices. It provides two independent outputs which support the use of two power switches in the same circuit, or the use of two different output voltages from the same power switch. The LT3782IFE#TRPBF features a 0.5V reference voltage and an adjustable compensation network. This allows the user to adjust the output voltage to the exact voltage required by the application.
The LT3782IFE#TRPBF operates in both current- and voltage-mode, which enables the controller to quickly respond to changes in the output load.
