The LT-6600IS8-10#PBF is a high performance, precision analog instrumentation amplifier—the industry standard for applications requiring low distortion, low noise, and high common-mode rejection. The LT-6600IS8-10#PBF is an instrumentation amplifier (IA) with precision offset voltages, gain accuracy, common-mode rejection, and low noise performance. It has two-stage gain structures and 512 gain steps—ranging from 0.25V/V to 128V/V—allowing it to be used to satisfy low level differential gain and measurement requirements. It also offers low distortion, excellent common-mode rejection, adjustable offset adjustment and output linearization, as well as high common-mode voltage immunity, resulting in a highly versatile design.The LT-6600IS8-10#PBF can be used in a number of different applications, including:

It is a three operational amplifier differential amplifier with both inverting and non-inverting inputs. All the amplifiers in the IA have the same gain, typically 20dB. The input stage (I1 and I2) amplifies the input signal before it is passed onto the intermediate amplifier stage (I3). The output of this stage is passed onto the output stage (O1 and O2) which further amplifies the signal and biases it towards the required level.At the input side of the IA, there is an input common mode voltage divider with a twice matched resistance. This ensures that the input common mode voltage is not affected by the other signals. On the output side, the off-set voltage varies with the input common mode voltage. This is done to ensure that the output remains linear over the full input common mode voltage range and to maintain the linearity of IA’s transfer characteristics.The output of the LT-6600IS8-10#PBF is a direct current output with a gain range of up to 128V/V. Its output can be biased to a voltage between 4.5 and 11 volts, depending on the gain setting and input voltage. The output can also be set to a user defined voltage, or the output can be set to track the input voltage.In terms of power consumption, the LT-6600IS8-10#PBF consumes around 1.5mA when running at a gain level of 1.
