Working Principle of the LT8311EFE#TRPBF
The LT8311EFE#TRPBF uses a synchronous PWM (pulse width modulation) control loop for regulating the output voltage. The closed-loop operation starts off with an internal error amplifier that compares the output voltage to an internal reference voltage and produces an error signal. This error signal is compared to the clock signal that comes from an external oscillator. The output of this comparator is used to control the gate driver, which in turn drives the MOSFET. If the error signal is greater than the clock signal, the MOSFET is turned off, stopping the flow of current through the inductor and output rectifier. If the error signal is less than the clock signal, the MOSFET is turned on and current begins flowing through the inductor and rectifier, which results in an increase in the output voltage. This loop is continuously repeated in order to regulate the output voltage.
