Working Principle

The LTC2435-1IGN#PBF works on a principle called No-Latency Delta-Sigma (ΔΣ) Analog-to-Digital Conversion or NLDS. What happens in this conversion process is the analog signal is down-sampled and encoded using a process of oversampling and quantization. This process creates what is known as a delta-sigma modulator or ΔΣ modulator. This modulator then outputs a bit stream and this is usually in the form of a pulse-density modulation. NLDS ADCs are also more accurate as they do not require interpolation, which reduces the signal-to-quantization error.
