The LTC3772BETS8#TRMPBF is a highly integrated monolithic multiple output switching controller specifically designed for synchronous step-down (buck) and isolated offline flyback converters. Offering separate 1.25V and 3.3V precision power-good output signals and an integrated high-voltage 750V startup switch, the LTC3772BETS8#TRMPBF is ideal for commercial, automotive and industrial application.

The LTC3772BETS8#TRMPBF switching controller operates over a wide input voltage range, includes current-mode control and offers excellent line and load regulation. The synchronous buck and flyback controllers, with additional features such as soft-start, pulse-skipping mode and programmable maximum frequency, enable efficiencies up to 95%.

The LTC3772BETS8#TRMPBF features four switching controllers, two with integrated 750V startup and shutdown FETs, which reduces the design complexity and improves the overall efficiency. The integrated PWM controller includes current-mode control architecture with adjustable operating frequency, internal slope compensation and voltage and current limit protection. If an overload is detected, the LTC3772BETS8#TRMPBF can be programmed to generate pulse-skipping mode or selectable frequency reduction and can be programmed to restart either from the same point or from the beginning of the cycle.

The output voltage is monitored by an integrated 1.25V and 3.3V power-good signal. An external current sense resistor is used to limit the maximum output current. In addition, the LTC3772BETS8#TRMPBF features soft-start, output voltage tracking and adjustable internal soft-start and valley current shield levels.

The LTC3772BETS8#TRMPBF is available in a 24-lead 3 mm × 4 mm QFN and is specified for operation over the industrial temperature range of 0 ˚C to 70 ˚C. The controller is protected against UVLO, OVP, OCP, SCP and VLO. The LTC3772BETS8#TRMPBF is ideal for applications such as desktop, notebook and industrial PC supplies, lighting and LED drivers, wireless base stations, battery charging systems and automotive, charging wall-mounted power adapters.
