Application Field of LTC3859AIFE

The LTC3859AIFE is a PolyPhase current mode controller specifically designed for automotive and industrial power systems and applications. It is particularly suitable for non-isolated/isolated applications that require low output noise over a wide input and output voltage range and require low minimum on-time. Working Principle

The LTC3859AIFE’s main principle of operation is to use its integrated high current MOSFETs to provide power conversion from one voltage level to another. Its core consists of a voltage feedback loop, current limit circuit and error amplifier, and a power MOSFET driver. The voltage feedback loop senses the output voltage of the converter and sends out error signals. The error signals will be amplified by an error amplifier and the amplified signal is passed to the current limit circuit.
