The LTC3878IGN#TRPBF is a high-performance current-mode synchronous buck controller with up to a 95% peak efficiency with high switching frequencies up to 950kHz. This device employs both peak current and voltage-mode control to provide fast transient response and maintain excellent DC line Regulation, as well as excellent cross regulation over a wide input voltage range. The LTC3878IGN#TRPBF is an ideal solution for portable and remote applications which demand high efficiency and small form factor.

The LTC3878IGN#TRPBF is an exceptionally powerful DC/DC controller that is capable of delivering up to 28A of continuous output current from a wide input voltage range of 3.3V to 14V. It has a minimum operating temperature of -40°C and a maximum of +85°C, making it suitable for a variety of applications such as automotive and industrial systems. Additionally, the LTC3878IGN#TRPBF has multiple output power-on sequencing capability, as well as fault protection features such as Over-temperature protection and over-current protection.

The working principle of the LTC3878IGN#TRPBF is relatively simple. It works through the control of a high-side and a low-side MOSFET.
