The LTC3886IUKG#PBF is a high efficiency, high power, and flexible, synchronous step-down switching controller IC of PMIC - Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Controllers. It can operate from a wideinput voltage range, operate in either continuous-conductionmode (CCM)or discontinuous-conduction mode (DCM) and also integrates high-side MOSFET current sensing to optimize power conversion efficiency. The LTC3886 has an adjustable peak current mode control that is optimized for fast load transient response, high efficiency, and low noise operation. It supports multiple output voltages and delivers up to 8A of output current without an external power stage. This makes it ideal for powering peripheral circuits as well as processing cores in automotive applications and other general-purpose, high efficiency, wide input operating voltage applications.

The basic features of the LTC3886IUKG#PBF includes easy programming of switching frequency and output voltage, peak current mode control loop that provides a fast transient response, programmable slope compensation for both CCM and DCM mode, overload protection, soft start, and peak current limit.
