Working Principle

The LTC3891EUDC#PBF is a synchronous buck controller that is designed to convert 35V input to 5V output. Its input is connected to a step-down transformer, which then provides the correct output voltage to the load. The output voltage is fed to an internal error amplifier, which then sends a feedback signal back to the controller to regulate the output voltage. The controller also has a current sense feature that provides current protection, providing a current foldback when the load current exceeds the pre-programmed limit.
