The LTC4266AIUHF-4#PBF is a unique Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) which features a high power over ethernet (PoE) controller. It is the only PoE controller in the industry that offers both simultaneous and independent control of four ports with multiple Polarity TDM (PTDM) functionality. The LTC4266AIUHF-4#PBF is designed to provide high performance and good efficiency over a wide range of current levels, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications including industrial, medical, and consumer products.Essentially, the LTC4266AIUHF-4#PBF is a single integrated circuit that can be used to achieve two separate goals. First, it provides power management by controlling the current level and the direction of flow from the data source (e.g., Ethernet router) to the device(s) of interest that are to be powered. Second, it can be used to control the direction of data flow from the device(s) to the data destination. As a result, it can be used to supply power to, or transmit data from/to, multiple devices using the same Physical Layer connection (e.g., Ethernet cable). Moreover, since the LTC4266AIUHF-4#PBF features a high power PoE controller, it is capable of delivering up to 28W of power to each port, allowing the delivery of more power than is typically provided by standard Ethernet cables.The working principle of the LTC4266AIUHF-4#PBF is based on the fact that it provides the capability to control both the current level and the direction of the voltage and current flow.
