Working principle

The thermal conductivity of the thermocouple temperature probe is based on the conversion principle of the Seebeck effect. The two ends of the thermocouple are connected to separate voltage measuring devices and then connected to a thermocouple instrument. When the two ends of the thermocouple are at different temperatures, a small voltage (thermoelectric voltage) is generated between the two ends which is proportional to the temperature difference. This thermoelectric voltage can be converted into a temperature signal through the thermocouple instrument.
