LV5682P-E is a special application field and working principle of PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) Voltage Regulators. It is a high-performance synchronous step-down switching regulator optimized for portable device applications. This device offers a wide range of output voltage, high-efficiency power conversion, current protection and precise voltage monitoring. It features low quiescent current, and a wide operating temperature range.

The LV5682P-E voltage regulator adopts a synchronous step-down topology, with a range of adjustable output current from 0.1A to 0.5A. This device offers efficient power conversion efficiency up to 95% when configured with just one external resistor. An internal power MOSFET, current protection and reverse current circuit provide enhanced protection for end products.

The LV5682P-E enables constant output voltage through its precise voltage monitoring circuit. This circuit can be used for both system reset and for setting the output voltage. Additionally, the voltage regulator also features a 3-state power-good (PG) monitoring output. This output will trigger an interrupt when the output voltage is outside a predefined range.

The LV5682P-E voltage regulator also offers low quiescent current operation. With an input voltage range of 3.0V to 6.5V and an adjustable output voltage range of 0.68V to 5.5V, it can be used in a wide variety of applications including cellular phones, handheld computers, digital cameras, and portable electronics.

The LV5682P-E requires no external compensation components and typically operates with an external clock frequency of 1MHz to 800kHz. A thermal shutoff circuit provides thermal protection over extended operating temperature ranges, enhancing device reliability.
