The LX1571MY is a compact, single-phase, synchronous tri-level switching buck regulator intended to provide regulation for common 12V, 24V, and 48V intermediate bus architecture (IBA), the floating point architecture (FPA), and the distributed power architecture (DPA) applications. This integrated circuit is intended for use in AC-DC and DC-DC applications and provides a maximum output current of up to 40A.

The LX1571MY is a buck regulator that converts a higher input voltage to a lower output voltage in a switching mode. It combines a synchronous controller and three MOSFETs in one package. The synchronous controller, integrated with a single stage power converter, reduces complexity and increases efficiency compared to conventional buck topology.

In BM mode, the power MOSFETs are on and off periodically, resulting in lower power consumption and improved efficiency.

It is also suitable for distributed power architectures, wherein multiple power supplies are connected in parallel to provide power to various devices in the system. The LX1571MY is suitable for a variety of applications such as 12V, 24V, and 48V non-isolated LVDS, ABT, Point Of Load (POL), Component Video, STB and CKE systems. It provides excellent line/load regulation and supports both current-mode control and voltage-mode control (VMC) switching. The output of the LX1571MY can be adjusted using a low-voltage differential signal (LVP) and logic signals. Additionally, the LX1571MY provides over-temperature, over-current and over-voltage protection.
