The LY4F-AC120 series of relays from the LY4 range are heavy-duty power relays designed to manage and control power supplies with ratings of above 2 amps. These power supplies can be AC or DC, and the relays can be either powered directly or connected to an external receiver. Their design is robust and reliable, and they are suitable for a variety of applications, including those that involve switching between primary and secondary circuits.

Application Field

The LY4F-AC120 series of relays can be used in a wide range of industrial and domestic applications. In particular, it can be used to switch between primary and secondary power circuits. Working Principle

The LY4F-AC120 series of relays consists of three contact elements; a normally open contact, a normally closed contact, and a common contact. The contacts are held in an open or closed state by an electromagnet, which is powered by an external source. When a signal is sent to the electromagnet, it creates a magnetic field which attracts the contact’s armature, and causes the contacts to switch state. When the signal is removed, the contact will return to its previous state.

The LY4F-AC120 series of relays can be used in a variety of different configurations. These include single-pole, double-throw, latching, and enhanced latching. The relays are suitable for switching AC and DC power, and can handle currents of above 2 amps.

Performance

The LY4F-AC120 series of relays are robust and reliable, and designed to withstand a wide range of operating temperatures. The relays are rated for operation between -40°C and +85°C. Additionally, the relays are rated for a number of safety standards, including UL508, CSA C22.2 No.14, and EN 60950.

Durability

The LY4F-AC120 series of relays are designed for long-term use, and are rated for a minimum of 50,000 operations. The relays are sealed and dust-proof, and have a 4-pole construction which minimises arcing and corrosion. Additionally, the contacts are designed to self-clean during operation, ensuring consistent performance over time.
