Power relays, especially those with current rating greater than two amps, are used in many commercial and industrial applications. These applications include, but are not limited to, equipment control, power distribution, and transportation. The application of an LY4N-AC24 power relay is no different. The contact closure mechanism consists of a movable part and stationary part. When the actuator is energized, the movable part moves and pushes against the stationary part. The force of this motion makes the contact closure mechanism close and turns on the relay. When the actuator is de-energized, the movable part returns to its original position and the contact closure mechanism returns to its open state, turning off the relay.

The LY4N-AC24 power relay is highly reliable and capable of switching up to 24A and 1000V of current. It has several different operations including normally open, normally closed, and maintained, and a fail-safe feature designed to prevent accidental closure of the contacts.
