Working Principle of M2112REW01

The M2112REW01 is a DPDT rocker switch which has six possible positions. The switch is actuated when the rocker is pressed to one side or the other, resulting in one of two contacts being connected or disconnected. The Toggle Switch Mode (also known as momentary mode) has two positions with the rocker staying in the pressed position until it is pressed in the opposite direction. The Maintained Switch Mode (also known as latching mode) has four positions, with the rocker staying in the position to which it is pressed until it is pressed in the opposite direction.

When in the Toggle Switch Mode, the switch is momentary and will switch back to the Off position when the rocker is released. When it is in the Maintained Switch Mode, it will latch into one of the two positions until it is pressed in the opposite direction.

The DPDT rocker switch is also equipped with a position indicator, so that it can be used as an indicator switch to indicate the position (Off or On) of the switch. The Toggle/Latch switch is available in various standard colors and can be customized with various accessory options.
