MAPLAD15KP150A Application Field and Working PrincipleMAPLAD15KP150A is a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode, developed by Littelfuse, Inc. It is designed for protection of sensitive segments of circuits from surges and transients, such as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Lightning Induced Transient Voltages (LITV). The TVS diode is available in a SOT-223 package with a DO-214AC footprint.The MAPLAD15KP150A devices are designed with a breakdown voltage of 15kV, and a maximum current of 150mA. They can be used to protect integrated circuits, MOSFETs, and other devices from damaging transients such as electrical overstress or electrostatic discharge.The device has a unique two-step architecture that provides excellent performance for ESD protection. Its low capacitance design reduces propagation delay time and allows for high frequency line protection.
