In the first step, the higher current-handling, charger-derived LDO output is enabled, providing power earlier in the power-on sequence, allowing capacitors to charge faster and current spikes to be held to a minimum. When the voltage of the system is established, the second step is executed, with the lower-current, system-defined (low-quiescent-current regulator) LDO being enabled as a final power-on step.

The MAX20323FENC+T has a unique battery conditioning state that allows users to maximize the amount of time the system can spend in backup mode. This state allows users to set the battery voltage at an acceptable level for the battery\'s protection but low enough for the system to operate generally even during discharging, maintaining the capacity for more backup time.
