It eliminates the need for an LC output filter, providing a fast transient response and reducing component count. The unique foldback architecture further eliminates input current surges to reduce stress on the Li-Ion/alkaline/NiMH battery.In addition, it supports wide input voltage range from 1.5V to 5.5V, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The regulator also has a low quiescent current of 12μA in sleep mode, making it ideal for battery-based applications.Working Principle
The MAX20756ETM+ is a boost-mode synchronous step-up voltage regulator, with a topology similar to a buck-boost converter. It consists of two power MOSFETs: one regulates the DC input voltage, and the other is connected to the output voltage pin.The output voltage is regulated by sensing the voltage of the output voltage pin and using pulse-width modulation (PWM) to control the two power MOSFETs.
