The main function of the MAX2160EBG+TW is to amplify the RF signal from the antenna, so that it can be further processed by the receiver. This is done through a two-stage low-noise amplifier (LNA).The MAX2160EBG+TW consists of two stages. The first stage is an amplifier with a gain of +14 dB, and the second stage is a variable gain amplifier (VGA) with a gain of +13 to +30 dB. The gain of the VGA is adjustable by an external voltage applied to its control pin.
