Application Field and Working Principle
The MAX2165ETI+T is a high performance, monolithic, low-power, sub-GHz single-chip wireless receiver intended for use in wide range of RF Receivers applications. This integrated device offers excellent receiver sensitivity and selectivity, along with a wide operating frequency range. It features high dynamic range and selectivity, low noise figure and wide linearity performance. The MAX2165ETI+T receiver is designed for use in a wide range of applications including short range industrial and consumer products, wireless audio and data, voice communications, remote control systems, and wireless building automation systems. The integrated components allow a complete solution with total transmission distances up to 50 kilometers, with reduced cost and complexity of board layout.The MAX2165ETI+T is a wireless receiver incorporating a low noise amplifier (LNA), a mixer, and a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). The device features a receiver sensitivity of -114 dBm to -94 dBm for achieving reliable, full-duplex communication over a wide range of distances. The MAX2165ETI+T provides high performance over a range of frequencies, from 902 MHz to 928 MHz, and its VCO provides an excellent frequency response over the operating frequency range. The MAX2165ETI+T also has excellent blocking and selectivity characteristics, as well as robust distortion-free outputs. It is immune to ambient RF interference, thanks to its superior common mode rejection and dynamic range. Additionally, the receiver features low voltage consumption, making it ideal for modern low-power designs. Additionally, the receiver provides smart Rx enable, and the AVS pin allows easy adjustment of the received signal level. The MAX2165ETI+T is provided in a 9mm x 9mm TQFN-24 plastic package or in a 10mm x 13mm TQFN-24 plastic package for form factor miniaturization. It is suitable for operation over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.The MAX2165ETI+T receiver is designed for use with devices operating in the ISM bands. The VCO allows for wide frequency steps, and can also be customized for specific requirements. The block diagram shows the basic elements of the receiver. The first part of the receiver is the LNA, which amplifies the incoming signal. The amplified signal is then sent to the mixer, which mixes the input signal with the VCO\'s output. The mixed output is sent to the IF filter, which removes any out of band signals and passes the wanted signal to the IF amplifier. The 4th stage is the dB-convert detector, which amplifies the signal further and shapes it into an audio signal. The last stage is the limiter, which prepares the signal for the audio 0 dBm reference level, while further distorting the input signal. The MAX2165ETI+T provides an ideal solution for various RF receiver applications, including wireless audio and data, remote control systems, and wireless building automation systems.
