The MAX232EPE+ is an integrated field-effect transistor (FET) driver and receiver that facilitates communication between two devices by providing a bridge between an asynchronous transmission system (ATS) and a receiver\'s logic-level serial port. It is often used to bridge communications between a computer and other peripherals such as printers and scanners, or between two computers. As a receiver, the MAX232EPE+ uses a built-in voltage converter to shift the incoming signals from the sender\'s environment to the voltage levels specified by the receiver.
