MAX2358ETI+T is a new RF miscellaneous integrated circuit (IC) and module designed and manufactured by Maxim Integrated. It is a highly integrated radio frequency (RF) module designed to transmit and receive low power wireless data over a wide temperature range (-25°C to 85°C). With its high-performance on-chip receiver, transmitter, and power management circuit, MAX2358ETI+T provides a perfect solution for in-building and long-distance wireless data applications.

The module provides a fully integrated single-chip solution for medium data rate, 2.4GHz, frequency-hopping spread-spectrum (FHSS) wireless applications, such as Zigbee, EnOcean, WirelessHART, CENELEC, etc. The system is a complete transceiver that includes a transmit power amplifier, receiver, power management, and antenna select switch in a small, ultralow-current surface-mount package. The receiver and transmitter both run on a single-ended supply voltage of 3.3V.

The receiver section comprises of a low-IF, zero-IF, or direct-conversion selectable architecture, and is designed to detect, amplify, and demodulate data at the IF frequencies. It is capable of detecting and demodulating a wide variety of modulation schemes, including BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK, and 16-QAM. On-chip filter components are utilized for receive bandpass and bandstop filtering. The transmitter section comprises of a low-IF or zero-IF architecture, and is designed to modulate data at RF frequency. It is capable of supporting a wide variety of modulation schemes, including BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK, and 16-QAM. A power control loop ensures a stable output power level over a wide input voltage range.

The power management circuit receives both the 1.8V VCC and VDD supply voltages, and provides all the necessary power supply management functions. The module also provides a digital diagnostic monitor for monitoring system status. Furthermore, the module includes an on-chip antenna-selection switch and is designed for operation with printed-circuit-board (PCB) antennas.
