The MAX236ENG is a low-power universal asynchronous receiver/ transmitter transceiver designed for full-duplex asynchronous communication with a data rate of up to 300 kbits/s. It can be used with a variety of data communications systems such as asynchronous modems, time-division multiplexers (TDM) and packet-radio networks. It is fully compliant with the EIA/TIA-232-E, V.24 and V.28 standards.

Working Principle
