The MAX2420EAI+T is a low-power, wide supply-voltage range, differential, driver and transceiver with dedicated interface levels for use in systems containing multiple voltage-domain components, such as MCUs and FPGAs. It is ideal for 1.5V to 3.3V and 5V applications that require electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection as well as other applications with hard voltage-domain crossing requirements.
The MAX2420EAI+T is designed to meet the demands of the automotive vision system and image processing applications. Other applications include digital control analog inputs, digital control analog outputs, level shifters, line receivers, and other drivers and transceivers with differential input or output. The device provides improved acceleration and resolution, and is capable of achieving extremely low power dissipation due to its low quiescent current and low-noise operation.
The MAX2420EAI+T interfaces directly with different voltage levels in the system. When used with a single-ended input, the MAX2420EAI+T effectively acts as a level shifter. For differential inputs, it provides a differential receiver and lightly-loaded driver amplifier.
The MAX2420EAI+T features an integrated sleep mode, where it can be put into low-power shutdown mode which reduces current consumption. This feature can be used to save significant power when there is no need for active processing in the system, or when the system is in a standby mode.
