The MAX2870ETJ+G2Z is a rugged RFICs from Maxim Integrated solution designed for applications operating in extreme environmental conditions such as extremely cold or hot temperatures. The MAX2870ETJ+G2Z operates on a low power supply of 0.25 V to 0.75 V and is capable of working within a wide temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. The RFIC is the perfect solution for applications such as snow and sand removal, chemical analysis and any other situation where it is necessary to have protection against severe temperature conditions.The MAX2870ETJ+G2Z features an ultra-wideband direct modulated radio frequency (RF) amplifier which is optimally designed for extremely wide frequency range operation. The RFIC uses a Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) based MLDD process, offering excellent power supply rejection, high IP3 and low NF performance.The RFIC offers full integration including a VCO (Voltage controlled oscillator), Power Detector (PD), Modulator, 3dB Coupler, VCO driver and control logic. The topology of the MAX2870ETJ+G2Z includes DC bias circuits, matching stages to ensure optimized tuning sensitivity, programmable frequency bands and range, and a dynamic control logic. The dynamic logic is optimized to ensure that all optimization and frequency control take place so that the device may be dynamically tuned for various conditions.The MAX2870ETJ+G2Z was designed to operate over an extremely wide temperature range as well as in extreme conditions. It has optimized sensitivity over a wide frequency range between 1.0 and 4.7 GHz and offers a low noise figure of less than 3 dB. The high linearity feature of the RFIC makes it ideal for power amplifier applications, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Additionally, the MAX2870ETJ+G2Z provides low power consumption and improved phase noise performance with superior power supply noise rejection. The MAX2870ETJ+G2Z is an ideal solution for applications that need extreme temperature and/or environment protection.
