MAX3318EIDBR is a series of five-channel data line receivers used in applications where a powered disabled driver is required. It is part of the family of interface - drivers, receivers, transceivers. MAX3318EIDBR devices receive data from 5 data lines and provide the same data to 5 powered differential outputs that can drive up to 15 load units (100 mA) with a voltage from 70 mV to 25 mV.Application Field

MAX3318EIDBR devices are five-channel differential data line receivers designed with a CMOS process. They provide data to 5 powered differential outputs that can drive up to 15 load units (100 mA). The data line inputs are low impedance with a wide range of frequency range and uniform output level.When power is disabled, the receiver outputs are held in a high-impedance state. The input data line levels and the internal state of each receiver is sampled with a Programmable Overdrive (POD) and a Receiver-Input Logic (RIL) circuit. The channel that is undergoing the most data transition is activated and the data is output on the differential receiver outputs. The outputs can be actively driven to either logic high or logic low outputs.Also includes a RUNT circuit, which is used to restore the appropriate output state in case of uncontrolled data transitions. This circuit is activated each cycle when the power is enabled and allows the receiver to stay synchronous and in output the correct information while the input data may change during multiple times of the cycle.Finally, the MAX3318EIDBR devices are designed with a reverse current protection feature, which prevents current flow during the power down state.Conclusion
