Working Principle

MAX3355EEBC+T is a special-purpose voltage regulator designed with dual-supply linear voltage regulator with step-down current-mode control. It combines a low-dropout linear voltage regulator with an adjustable step-down current-mode controller that supplies constant current to the output.

The linear voltage regulator first boosts the voltage of the input voltage up to its required output voltage, and then the current-mode controller regulates the output to provide constant DC output current to the load. It also provides additional functions, including under-voltage lockout, to protect the voltage regulator from possible overcurrent caused by a low input voltage.

The MAX3355EEBC+T includes internal protection for over-current, over-voltage, and overtemperature to ensure stability and safety of the system.
