The MAX3452EETE+T is a versatile four-channel, low-voltage digital logic-level shifter and translator. This device is ideal for use in low-voltage applications and is designed to provide full compatibility with high-speed, low-voltage logic standards. The MAX3452EETE+T can be used to translate and level-shift between high-performance voltages as low as 3 V, while being immune to noise on the opposite rail. It can also be used to level-shift between two different high-speed logic families, such as open drain, bus-hold, or push-pull.

The TTL-level translator consists of a series of resistors and capacitors that create an internal bias voltage. The internal bias voltage is translated to the output voltage level so that the output follows the input logic level.

In high-to-low mode, the input voltage range is limited to 15V and the output voltage range to 0V to 3V. The device uses an internal DC-DC converter to drive 3V from the 15V supply, and each channel includes a MOSFET switch for level-shifting between open drain and push-pull buses. The MOSFET switch is connected between the output and a reference voltage, and switches either the reference voltage or the output voltage to the load depending on the input logic level.
