The MAX3636ETM+T is an application-specific clock/timing system for high-speed, low-power operation. It can be used in both short- and long-term clock applications, and can be programmed to generate multiple frequencies from the same input frequency.

This system is highly efficient, capable of achieving power savings up to 78%. The low power capacity of the MAX3636ETM+T also allows for greater control over clock frequencies, with the ability to hold or switch frequencies during real-time scenarios.

The MAX3636ETM+T can be programmed direct and via an I2C serial interface. It operates in the range of 2 MHz up to 2.5 GHz and supports dynamic frequency changes. It also features an output buffer that is designed to drive different synchronous clock and data applications, such as wide-bus architecture and Ethernet.

The MAX3636ETM+T also features an adaptive phase-locked loop (PLL) architecture with multiple loop filters. This makes it possible to produce fine frequency resolution of 0.1 GHz and great accuracy for multiple frequencies. Furthermore, the system includes a phase noise lock loop and jitter-reduction blocks, optimizing the phase noise and ensuring the output signal is at a low level of jitter, essential for high-speed operation.

The MAX3636ETM+T also features input/output isolation to eliminate cross-talk and other signal noise, thereby preventing transmission error. The system is designed to operate in the temperature range of -40℃ to +85℃ and has a precision of 0.2 ppm per 10℃.
