The MAX3869EHJ is an advanced Laser Driver for per photonic modulator 100-Gb/s and beyond applications. Developed by Maxim Integrated, the MAX3869EHJ is a high-efficiency driver intended for the optical modules used in datacoms and telecoms OC-192, 10GbE, and 40GbE links. This low-profile, low-RDS(on), single-ended driver allows the modulator to operate within the linear range curve, increasing the eye mask margin in systems with higher output data rates.

The MAX3869EHJ is an integrated circuit specifically optimized for high speed laser diodes used in optical communication systems. The MAX3869EHJ features a low-RDS(on) output driver stage to provide high voltage efficiency, a fast settling time and a low propagation delay for improved eye mask margin. The high slew rate allows for a wide range of modulation data rates. The wide input common mode range and unity gain AC-coupled inputs allow for direct driving from binary logic.
