The MAX3873AETP+T is a high-performance, low-jitter, low-power clock synthesis, fanout and phase-locked loop (PLL) solution ideal for high-bandwidth, serial communications applications. It features a low-power only 1.8-V supply voltage and supports up to 5.64 Gbps for SONET/SDH and 6.375 Gbps for Fibre Channel and all Ethernet standards. This clock synthesizer and fanout PLL (PFLL) allows the user to configure different clock outputs from a single reference oscillator as well as independent phase and frequency control over all clock outputs. It also includes integrated signal conditioning and signal routing to ensure reliable driving of high-frequency inputs and outputs.
The MAX3873AETP+T provides a solution for a wide range of clock application requirements in communications, signal and other high-bandwidth applications. It provides the necessary synthesis, fanout and phase-locked loop (PLL) functions in one integrated device, allowing the user to more easily design a flexible, high speed clock distribution system.
