The MAX3942ETG+ T is designed to receive 4 serial lanes of non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data at the input and transmit 4 lanes locally. The output data rate is equal to the input data rate. The PLL frequency range is from 400MHz to 800MHz, providing data rates from 200Mbps to 400Mbps. The differential AC-coupled input also operates from 400MHz to 800MHz.

Working Principle
The MAX3942ETG+T telecom transceiver integrates four serial lanes in NRZ data format, up to 800MHz and up to 4Gbps within a single device. It is designed to receive four serial lanes of NRZ data at the input, extract clock information and recover data streams at the outputs. The received four lanes of data input is AC-coupled gain and signal is reshaped to create a differential output. The integrated PLL is used to recover the clock signal from the NRZ input and generate a clean clock signal in synchronous with the received data stream.
